The BREATHE Ministry provides a safe and fun respite experience for your children. The BREATHE program provides free and responsible care for children with special needs, 2-18 years of age, typically along with their siblings.
Hosted by volunteers from Valley Presbyterian Church and the neighboring community, kids will enjoy a time of food, fun, and friendship, while parents and caregivers get a well-deserved break. Children will be able to choose from arts and crafts, games, movies gross and fine motor activities, and special entertainment. Each child will be paired with a supervised, trained volunteer (a BREATHE buddy) for the entire time.
The program will also be staffed with medical and educational professionals, so you can feel comfortable knowing that your child will be in very capable hands.
Parents are encouraged to use the time to explore (parks and shopping nearby), to run errands, or simply to relax. We will be happy to provide you with a list of local activities, shops, and restaurants.
